Fixing democracy, one step at a time
82-year-old Vermonter Rick Hubbard and his team are making their way across the country, one step at a time.
Beginning July 18, 2024: If you are a Nebraskan and have completed your felony sentence, you can now register to vote immediately after you are off paper – meaning you have completed your term of incarceration, probation, supervised release, or parole and have satisfied any other requirements from the court and remained conviction-free.
Have you completed a felony sentence, including probation and/or parole, and are seeking to restore your voting rights? Civic Nebraska and our coalition partners can help.
Contact Noah Rhoades, voting rights restoration coordinator, at noah.rhoades@civicnebraska.org for more information.

On June 27, Civic Nebraska will honor five Nebraskans whose acts help to build a more modern and robust democracy. Through May 17, we’re accepting nominations from the public in five categories of democracy-building.
The right to vote is fundamental. We and our partners are dedicated to providing clarity and ensuring that justice-impacted individuals understand and can exercise their right to vote.
