Art + Activism with Jason Kander!

by

We are thrilled to announce that Jason Kander, the 39th Missouri Secretary of State and founder of Let America Vote, will be leading our rally + poster show on Thursday, December 14 at Love’s Jazz and Art Center in Omaha.

Let America Vote has been doing great work nationwide, and Jason has become a national figure in the fight to protect voting rights. In addition to his work with Let America Vote, Jason is a husband, a father, a former Army Captain who served in Afghanistan, and Missouri’s 39th Secretary of State.

Jason was elected as Secretary of State in 2012, when he outperformed the presidential ticket by nearly 10 points, and become the youngest statewide elected official in the country. Prior to his election as Secretary of State, Jason was a state representative from Kansas City, where he worked to pass major ethics reform, and helped implement some of the strongest human trafficking laws in the country.

After serving as Missouri’s 39th Secretary of State, Kander narrowly lost a U.S. Senate bid to incumbent Roy Blunt in one of the closest races of 2016, outperforming the presidential ticket by nearly 16 points. He founded Let America Vote in 2017. According to Let America Vote’s website, “Whether it’s extreme identification requirements, questionable purges of voter rolls, voter intimidation, new and extreme voter registration processes, or anything that makes voting harder, Let America Vote will be there to lead the way against it.”

We are thrilled to have Jason leading our rally on Thursday, December 14. Click here to reserve your tickets today.
