Now more than ever, communities matter. Join the Collective Impact Lincoln team for a virtual Community Builder Workshop from 10 am to 2 pm Saturday, May 16. This interactive event will outline community assets and needs, how to identify neighborhood goals and build project plans, and discuss our current situation and systems.
“We know how crucial it is for neighborhood residents and leaders to connect right now, even during this time of physical distancing,” said Nancy Petitto, Collective Impact Lincoln’s program manager.
A partnership between Civic Nebraska, Nebraska Appleseed and the South of Downtown Community Development Organization, Collective Impact Lincoln creates lasting, meaningful, resident-led investment and positive change in Lincoln’s core neighborhoods. Through canvassing, community events, and our Community Builder Workshops, it helps neighbors examine their communities’ natural strengths and identify new ways to improve.
Choose between two breakout sessions during this workshop: Virtual Facilitation OR Fundraising and Seeking Sponsorship Partners. Virtual Facilitation allows you to learn how to facilitate virtual meetings and pivot your neighborhood organization and social groups to online platforms. Fundraising and Seeking Sponsorship Partners shares how to find strategies and fundamentals for fundraising and how to build sponsorship partners for your neighborhood organization or project.
“Our work must continue so neighborhoods and residents have the resources they need to stay connected and continue to improve,” Petitto said.
