Today, Civic Nebraska officially opens CIVIC U., a new virtual learning hub for young Americans, defenders of democracy, and community advocates. Whether you’re a K-12 student, a voting rights advocate, or a neighborhood connector, there’s something at CIVIC U. to watch, learn, and act upon.

For Young Americans

Each week, our Youth Civic Leadership professionals create new lessons, activities, and interactive units for elementary, middle, and high schoolers – from read-alongs and reflections, to step-by-step video how-to’s, to interactive units that build critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

For Defenders of Democracy

Our Voting Rights Initiative team’s regular video presentations and resources on election protection, voting rights, and advocating for pro-voter policies are at CIVIC U. for your perusal – as well as additional ways for active citizens to get involved.

For Community Advocates

Our communities are stronger when we own them together. Our Civic Health Programs team share resources and presentations about how to create and sustain civic power at the ground level, how to connect with power structures, and how to build your community.
