School’s officially out, but CIVIC U.’s virtual campus is buzzing. Designed for young Americans, defenders of democracy, and community advocates ages 6 to 106, CIVIC U. is an online hub with civic education, lessons, activities, and fun for everyone.

Our Youth Civic Leadership professionals have new weekly lessons, activities, and interactive units for elementary, middle, and high schoolers – from read-alongs and reflections and fun activities for younger children to more in-depth, interactive units that build critical thinking and problem-solving skills for older students.

Our Voting Rights Initiatives team‘s regular video presentations and resources on election protection, voting rights, and advocating for pro-voter policies are at CIVIC U. for your perusal – as well as additional ways for active citizens to get involved, such as how to advocate for completing the 2020 U.S. Census, a vital process to ensure Nebraska’s infrastructure and services are fully funded over the next 10 years.

Our communities are stronger when we own them together. Our Civic Health Programs team regularly shares its resources and recordings of its gatherings across the state. These workshops, presentations, and discussions center on how to create and sustain civic power at the ground level, connect with power structures, and build community.

Subscribe to The QUAD, CIVIC U.’s email newsletter, and receive new links in your inbox every Monday. Whether you’re a K-12 student, a voting rights advocate, or a neighborhood connector, there’s something at CIVIC U. to watch, learn, and act upon.

We’re making it a civic summer at CIVIC U.! Be sure to join us.
