We are pleased to honor Mr. Wockenfuss as the 2016 recipient of the Outstanding Outstanding K-12 Administrator award. Director of Operations and Special Programs, Kelsey Arends had this to say about Mr. Wockenfuss, “Gary Wockenfuss is the principal of Weeping Water Public Schools. Over the past two years, Mr. Wockenfuss has supported teachers and students who have participated in every semester of Civic Nebraska’s Rural Civic Action Program. Because of his leadership in promoting service learning across courses, – health, family and consumer science, world geography – grade levels, and teachers, and his strong commitment to ensuring student access service learning and continued community engagement, we are proud to award Gary with the 2016 Outstanding K-12 Administrator Award.”

It has been a privilege to work with Gary Wockenfuss as administrators in the same county and conference. Gary Wockenfuss is student-centered, with keen insight into the processes and programs that prepare students for work and school. His dedication and commitment to civic strength is based on his exemplary base of morals and standards. He is dedicated to young people. This award is well-deserved.
