Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We believe that democracy can only be achieved when diverse people of all races, national origins, cultures, and identities come together to make a stronger society.

Civic Nebraska remains dedicated to advancing equity and fair access to resources for all Nebraskans.

We believe that democracy can only be achieved when diverse people of all races, national origins, cultures, and identities come together to make a stronger society. It is inherent in the values of Civic Nebraska to recognize and embrace all aspects of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. We seek to ensure that the constituencies served by our mission have equitable and fair access to resources, promoting healthy and thriving communities across the state.
Civic Nebraska strives to create a workplace where staff, partners, and volunteers reflect, embrace, and uplift the communities we serve. Staff maintains civic and cultural competencies through offered educational opportunities, annual equity training, and DEI workshops, in addition to comprehensive dialogue and discussions. Further, Civic Nebraska created an internal DEI Task Force to meet monthly to bring awareness to systemic issues through respect, empathy, and patience.
Civic Nebraska is on a journey to achieve equity in the communities we serve and to our dedicated employees. We are always working on bettering ourselves as individuals and as an organization. We invite you to reach out to dei@civicnebraska.org with any comments or questions.
