AI & Democracy Community Summit

Join us at 10 am Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at the University of Nebraska's Andersen Hall for a discussion about minimizing AI’s disruptive effects and maximizing its positive potential for democracy.

Recent advancements in artificial intelligence, or AI, have the potential to transform democratic systems, processes, and governance. AI-generated tools could help make our elections better, but their ability to aggregate and then generate huge amounts of data – including disinformation – poses urgent risks to election integrity.
Join us Feb. 24 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications as we gather advocates, researchers, and everyday Nebraskans for a discussion about ways to minimize AI’s disruptive effects while maximizing its positive potential for democracy.
