Undergraduates and high school students – Civic Nebraska is looking for interns during the summer to help achieve our goals in multiple program areas. Are you interested in working to protect voting rights? To increase youth community engagement? To learn about working at a non-profit organization? To learn more about civic institutions in Nebraska?

Civic Nebraska is a fast-paced workplace. Students interested in a hands-on learning experience defined by a balance of independent and collaborative work, program and administrative projects will find a highly rewarding experience at Civic Nebraska.

Open positions:

Civic Health Intern – This intern would work closely with the Director of Civic Health in both civic health and rural service learning programs. Duties will include planning and implementation of the civic health community conversations, researching asset-based community development, contributing to best-practices for civic health projects, researching program expansion, and other duties as assigned. Community Organizing Fellow: Civic Nebraska is seeking a Community Organizer Fellow to assist with record keeping, volunteer recruitment, event coordination, and voter contact. Duties will include, but are not limited to: data entry, event set up, phone banking, and canvassing.

Communications Intern – Civic Nebraska is hiring a communications intern to assist the Director of Communication and Development and Senior Directors with social media content, press releases, and electronic and written publications. Strong writing and communications skills required. Familiarity with civic engagement and voting rights policy preferred.
