On Give To Lincoln Day, shine for your democracy

Your gift to Civic Nebraska on May 28 will be matched dollar for dollar by a generous donor circle. Give early and often to double your impact.

Sometimes, it can be hard to see light at the end of the tunnel. But throughout this shared journey these past few months, we’ve also seen firsthand how light is all around. There’s a renewed civic spirit in our streets. Neighbors have come together for one another. Nebraskans voted in record numbers in the May 12 primary.

To us, you are a bright light. On Thursday, you have yet another chance to shine for your community. Give To Lincoln Day, the city of Lincoln’s annual 24-hour community giving event, begins at 12:01 am May 28.

We would be honored to have your support this year. In fact, you can make a gift to Civic Nebraska anytime from now until 11:59 pm Thursday and it will count toward our day-of total.

Here’s the great news. The first $12,000 we raise this year will be matched by a generous Lincoln donor circle, which means you can double your donation’s impact if you give early. All funds go toward protecting voting rights, building young civic leaders, and strengthening civic life in Lincoln.

The pandemic didn’t halt our mission. This crisis highlights the urgency and relevance of our work to build and sustain democracy for all Nebraskans. In recent months, we’ve worked closely with state leaders to ensure a safe, secure, and successful election. We’ve continued to fortify civic health – now more important than ever – in towns, cities, and neighborhoods around the state. And we’ve opened CIVIC U., our digital learning hub, for Nebraskans young and old.

Your Give To Lincoln Day gift will ensure that all of our vital work continues in Lincoln and across the state. To donate, just click the button below.

We thank you – and your democracy thanks you!
