The City of Lincoln is listening on #HumaneHousing

You are invited to join Collective Impact Lincoln at the city's Oct. 17 public listening session on affordable and adequate housing.

Great news for Lincolnites: The City of Lincoln has begun work on its Affordable Housing Coordinated Action Plan. This process involves the city and its consultants, RDG Planning & Design, collaborating with residents and other Lincoln stakeholders to study our city’s housing. Ultimately, its goal is to create a plan with particular emphasis on affordable housing.

The study also aims to identify opportunities and issues in the housing market and work with Lincolnites to find successful strategies with which to move forward, according to city officials.

As part of this process, the city’s consultant is gathering community input on housing issues and concerns. You are invited to join Collective Impact Lincoln at the city’s public listening session 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 17 at Educare Lincoln, 3435 N. 14th St. Educare is connected to Belmont Elementary School.

Your input is vital to help inform the city and RDG about specific housing concerns and to create a housing strategy that addresses the needs and aspirations of all Lincolnites. RSVP here to let us know you’ll join us!

Thanks for all that you do. See you Oct. 17 at Educare Lincoln.

Best,
